Under 13s rugby is a 15 a side full contact game, played on a full size pitch.

Our under 13s squad currently consists of approx 28 players from 6 or 7 different schools. We have a core of players that have played at AKRFC through the mini section of the club. The squad has been strengthened by the recruitment of some excellent new players over the summer of 2009.

Our aim is to ensure all our squad are properly trained and gain match practice in our fixtures and enjoy their rugby.

We take a team 'on tour' each year at the end of the season which is always a good finish to the season and is enjoyed by all the kids and their Parents, last season we toured to The Munster International Festival in Tralee, Eire, we competed well and partied even better! We aim to tour to Wales in April 2010.

We had a superb competitive season last year, winning the lion’s share of our fixtures, drawing a few and losing just a handful. We are close to having a full A and B team squad, coaches wishing to set up additional or B team fixtures should contact Declan by email; declan@mcgoffandbyrne.co.uk
