Under 11s rugby is a 12 a side full contact game, played in accordance with the Rugby Continuum, consisting of 5 forwards (front row + 2nd row) and a full set of 7 backs with a size four ball. Scrums and line-outs are contested. Five points are awarded for a try and two for a conversion. Place kicking and kicking from hand is permitted. Handing off is not permitted. Pitch is approx 60 metres x 43 metres (+ 5metre in goal area) and matches last 20 minutes each way.

Our under 11s squad is a large squad of approx 25 players from 8 or 9 different local schools. Our players consist of those at beginners level through to those which have played Rugby at AKRFC (and other clubs) from Under 6/7 age groups. We insist our players play with gum shields and correct kite-marked studs and strongly recommend the use of head-guards. Our aim is to ensure all our squad are properly trained and gain match practice in our fixtures and enjoy their rugby.

We take a team 'on tour' each year at the end of the season which is always a good finish to the season and is enjoyed by all the kids and their Mums and Dads, last season we toured to Southport and stayed at Pontins for the early May bank holiday weekend. During last season at Under 10s level we played good competitive rugby and won the Southport Rugby Festival at the end of the season.
